Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Your Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform soon, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of characters residing in the afterlife, pits them against each other accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Will a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the showrunner stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans make a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on October 29.
